Abstract

The role of cultural diplomacy as a tool for strengthening national security, protecting national interests and building national identity is particularly growing and even becoming critical due to closed borders and the restriction of direct contacts during pandemics and other global crises. Of particular importance is the role of "soft power" in the Middle East, which is characterized by an unstable political, economic and security situation, as well as the protracted war in Syria, which has a significant impact on developments in the region. Significant approaches to interfaith dialogue and the implementation of cultural projects in the Middle East cultural palette require significant religious and ethnic diversity. Lebanon is a country of extremely rich early Christian history. That is why Wadi Kadisha (Holy Valley), where there are unique caves and monasteries from the time of early Christianity, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
