Public Union Editorial Board of the Foreign Affairs Journal

The Law of Ukraine “On Reforming State and Municipal Print Media”, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on December 24, 2015, provides, in particular, (Paragraph 1, Part 1, Article 3) for the withdrawal of public authorities, other state bodies and local governments from among the founders (co-founders) of the print media and the editorial office - in the absence of the property of the editorial office of state (municipal) property.

According to the Law, the print media The Foreign Affairs" Journal was identified as subject to reform (this information was published on the official website of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Being aware of the need to preserve the traditions and heritage of the Foreign Affairs" Journal - the only media in Ukraine, which regularly and professionally investigates the history, current state and prospects of international relations - NGO “Ukrainian Foreign Policy Association”, Charitable Foundation “The Institute of Public Diplomacy” and the KROK University of Economics and Law have decided to establish a Public Association of the Foreign Affairs Journal and to address the co-founders of the Foreign Affairs" Journal on its behalf: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" of Ukraine, the State Enterprise Journal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine “Politics and Time” (publisher of the Foreign Affairs Journal) and Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the initiative to transfer in the rights and responsibilities of the founder (co-founder) of the print media to the Foreign Affairs Journal.

Guided by the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Reforming State and Municipal Print Media”, the mentioned co-founders of the Foreign Affairs" Journal supported the initiative of the Public Union “Editorial Journal of the Foreign Affairs Journals” and made appropriate decisions. On July 16, 2018, the procedure of signing agreements on the transfer of rights and responsibilities of the founder (co-founder) of the print media "Foreign Affairs Journal in favour of the Public Union “Editorial Board of the Foreign Affairs Journal” was completed.
