Ukraine in the UN Human Rights Council: achievements, challenges, prospects
Abstract
Among the many international organizations, bodies and special institutions of the United Nations system, the activities of the United Nations Human Rights Council (RLC) attract considerable attention of the world community and politicians. Ensuring human rights is one of the three defining (along with peace and security and sustainable development) areas of UN activity. This year, Ukraine began its fourth term of membership in the RPL (2021-2023, before that it was a member during 2018-2020 and before that two consecutive terms during 2006-2011 - from the very beginning of the RPL).
