Energoatom stated that the total debt to NNEGC for the electricity supplied to the NPP reaches about UAH 20 billion, and the company has made proposals aimed at solving this problem.
This was reported by the company's press service.
Among Energoatom's proposals to balance the electricity market and eliminate the problem of non-payment, in particular:
- weekly revision of the Forecast Balance and increase of Energoatom's share in the structure of electricity production to the level corresponding to the actual consumption in the "base schedule" mode (at least - by 1000 MWh);
- change of the current model of JI (assignment of special responsibilities) and exclusion of participation of SE "Guaranteed Buyer" as an intermediary for the sale of NPP electricity to non-household consumers;
- reduction of the mandatory share of electricity sales on the market "for the day ahead" by producers from 15% to 5% by amending the Law of Ukraine "On the Electricity Market" (Bill №3657);
- increase in the share of NPP electricity sales in the market of bilateral agreements to 40%.
"Reports of non-payment of salaries to Ukrainian NPP personnel that appeared in the media are not true: all employees of NNEGC Energoatom receive their salaries on time and in full," Energoatom added.
We will remind:
The Verkhovna Rada passed a bill on debt repayment measures in the wholesale electricity market, which provides for the recapitalization of NNEGC Energoatom and Ukrhydroenergo through the issuance of domestic government bonds.
