Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Chaputowicz resigned on Thursday morning.

According to European Truth, the Polish agency PAP was informed about this by the press service of the Polish Foreign Ministry.

"Earlier, the minister said that after the presidential election it was a good time to change the head of Polish diplomacy, and expressed confidence that his successor would continue the current line and would further strengthen Poland's position in the international arena," the Polish Foreign Ministry said.

Chaputovich said in July that he could step down when the ruling Law and Justice Party was planning a personnel change in the government.
The resignation of Poland's foreign minister came two days after the country's health minister resigned.

Jacek Chaputowicz became Minister of Foreign Affairs in January 2018 in the first government of Mateusz Morawiecki. In November last year, he again took this position in Moravetsky's second office.
