At the first meeting, the NATO Secretary General and the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration discussed the priorities of the Ukrainian government and Ukraine's partnership with the Alliance.
According to European Truth, this is stated in the official NATO communiqué following the July 8 meeting.
"The priorities of the new Ukrainian government and the strength of NATO-Ukraine relations were discussed. The Secretary General congratulated Ukraine on receiving the status of a partner of the NATO Enhanced Capabilities Program, which is a recognition of the country's contribution to Euro-Atlantic security," the statement said.
At the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, Olga Stefanishina told the partners about the state of reforms in Ukraine and the security situation.
"The Allies stressed NATO's commitment to the principles of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and endorsed Ukraine's commitment to a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the East. ", - add in the message.
Practical steps on the "agenda" of the partnership were also discussed.
It will be recalled that on July 7-8, Olga Stefanishina paid her first working visit to Brussels as Deputy Prime Minister.
